Mt. Kitanglad and Mt.Dulang-dulang Traverse Trekking

This adventure will bring you the 2nd and 4th highest point in the country within Mt. Kitanglad Range National Park which is an ASEAN Heritage Park situated in the province of Bukidnon, Central Mindanao.

Mt. Dulang-dulang with an elevation of Approx 2,941 MASL known as D2 to local Trekkers and the ranks next to Mt. Apo when it comes to elevation and features mossy forests rich with flora and faunna while Mt. Kitanglad with elevation of 2899 MASL ranks number 4 where its peak hosts the relay stations of TV Stations and Communication facilities of Telcos that covers Mindanao area.

Dominant tribes that live around the area are the Talaandig and Higaonons that considers the mountain as their ancestral domain which is sacred to them.

Inclusive of :

•        Permit to Climb 
•        Transportation from Davao City to Jump-off Area and Back 
•        Guide Fee
·        Equipment Rentals for Tent, Sleeping Bag, Trekking Pole, Mess Kit and Stove with fuel
•        Meals for the duration of the Climb (dinner on the 2nd  Day Up to Lunch on Day 4)
•        Porter Fee for the Food and Staff in the Package
*        1Night Hotel Accommodation in Davao City/Malaybalay
 
 
Please be informed that the temperature could drop to 1 degrees at this
 time so kindly prepare  appropriate layering 
 that could withstand to that temperature  to get warm.
Since its rainy season this time of year, kindly bring rain coat or poncho
 since it might rain for the the whole three days of  climb, hopefully well
 have a good weather. 

Also please Bring the following:
1. Bonnet /head gear
2.Raincoat/poncho
3.personal Meds
4.gloves for trekking( construction gloves with rubber coating is recommended)
5. Flashlight/torch
6.Toiletries.
7. Trail Food 
8. Water Bottle/Container (good for 8 Hrs trek)
 
 
Itinerary
 
Day 1.
 
5:00PM Meet with Guest \
5:30PM Travel to Malaybalay
9:00PM ETA MalayBalay and stay in a hotel for the night
 
Note: Day 1 can be omitted and leave around 2AM on day 2 instead
  Going to Malaybalay then the rest of the IT follows as it is.
 
Day 2
6:00AM Meet at Your Hotel with your guide in Malaybalay 
6:30AM Breakfast and Buy Packed Lunch
7:10 AM ETD for Intavas via Chartered Jeep   
7:30 AM  ETA Intavas
8:00 AM ETD for Kitanglad Basecamp
9:00 AMETA Kitanglad Basecamp (1286 MASL) Water Available
                 Refill water good for 6-7 Hours Trek
9:30am Assault  for Kitanglad Summit
   Lunch on Trail
1:00PM ETA Mid Portion ( Big Rock) 2318 MASL
                  Pass by some metal Ladders
4:00PM ETA Kitanglad Summit (2892 MASL)
5:00pm Look for shelter or Set Up Tent , dinner
08:00pm Lights Off

04:45am Wake Up Call
05:00am Prepare breakfast/packed lunch and fetch water
       Bring Water for the whole days trek and for breakfast the next day
7:00am Traverse to Mt Dulang-dulang
         Descend half way then assault half way
12:00PM ETA Middle Summit Ecamp (2599 MASL)
             Lunch on Trail

5:00PM  ETA Dulang Summit (2947 MASL)
5:10pm Pitch tent,

07:30am Break camp and  descend to Manie’s Garden passing a Water Source

12:00NN ETA Alanib River (2186MASL) Water Available

12:30 PM ETD for Exit Point in Sungko, Lantapan

    I’m 60, female an had climb mt Apo 5x during 2012-2014; you think makaya Ko
    Ang mt kitanglad? I’m an endurance hiker but slow paced…. Mt kitanglad is really
    in my bucket list but had to think twice coz of my age. I don’t want to inconvenience
    young and fast hikers…. so Pls email me if you can accommodate me in some of
    your adventures that I may fit in….Thanks…. I’m following you hehe

      As of now I dont have a confirmed sched yet for Mt. Kitanglad-Dulang2x traverse climb.
      Regarding the age limit, as long as you are fit, in good
      health condition and physically prepared then you can conquer this mountain.
